[jira] Commented: (IVY-1090) Standalone runner should accept all the same parameters as ant tasks

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IVY-1090?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12767652#action_12767652 ]

Nicholas C commented on IVY-1090:
---------------------------------

I also noticed these shortcomings of the command-line runner:

- cannot use an IvySettings file via a url (though using <include> from a local ivysettings.xml is a workaround)
- cannot call -retrieve without a pattern, even if ${ivy.retrieve.pattern} is defined in the settings file (which is ignored)

> The ant task for retrieve allows you to specify which types you want to retrieve, whereas the standalone runner does not allow this. Also the ant task provides an ivypattern parameter which is not available in the standalone runner.
