Received Empty Servlet Name

I am working on Apache-Tomcat 3.1 . The Server was working perfectly .
It was reading port 80 but suddenly it stopped listening on port 80.
Now to read jsp files I have to explicitly give port 8080. The log file gives following error. When I try to read through port 80 The log file gives following error :

ajp12 : Servlet Error : Received Emty Servlet name .

Any Help I am facing tough time.
