[jira] [Created] (MINIFICPP-1220) Memory leak in CWEL

Marton Szasz created MINIFICPP-1220:
---------------------------------------

             Summary: Memory leak in CWEL
                 Key: MINIFICPP-1220
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MINIFICPP-1220
             Project: Apache NiFi MiNiFi C++
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Marton Szasz
            Assignee: Marton Szasz

Memory usage of minifi-cpp on windows increases gradually when using ConsumeWindowsEventLog, with more frequent scheduling triggering faster memory leak.

The main issue seems to be double event creation in Bookmark::getBookmarkHandleFromXML and leaking one of them.

The fix I'm about to submit changes the code to use unique_ptr for event ownership handling, reducing the risk of similar bugs in the future.

Part of the credit goes to [~aboda] as we found the cause independently.
