Password Protection for Servlets

Hello,

I have installed the tomcat 3.1 final.

I have created my own webapplication. All the class Files are located in
/WEB-INF/classes/*. The web.xml File in /WEB-INF has an entry for security
constaints
like in the examples webapplication of the tomcat distribution. With this
I'm
able to protect the webpages for this webapplication but not the servlets
themself.
I tried to set the url-mapping for the servlets to protect to a URL which I
entered in the security constraint but....no success.

Who can give a hint?

Greetings

Martin Menzel
