XInclude and line number support

I need to provide the capability to resolve XInclude entries prior to
validation and also provide line/column #s in the validation error messages.
If I use Xerces as the XMLReader I get XInclude processing, but I lose the
line number capability at validation time.  Is there anyway I can get both
to work in an out-of-the-box solution or will I need to write custom code to
resolve the XIncludes prior to validation using the built-in XML parser?
