Currently the <tar> task by default produces System V7-compatible archives and
if long files are needed and longfile is set to "warn" or "gnu" it produces
"new" GNU tar-compatible archives which are not compatible with nothing other
than GNU tar 1.12 or newer.

Now that GNU tar 1.13.25 and newer support POSIX.1-2001-compatible archives it
would be nice if <tar> supported them as well. This format is the most
extensible and has no limits.
