Document where the problem appeared
Overview:
In the Writer application of AOO 4.0.1, a sentence make crash all the
application.
All the openened documents are automatically recovered*, even the sentence.
But, whatever I try to write on the same document of this sentence, it crashs
again.
If I delete the sentence, the problem disappear.But if I delete another
selection, it crashs ! If I copy it and paste it on another (or the same one)
Writer document with or without "formating text" option, It make crash if I
write a new character on this last document after the copy-paste operation.
If I cut the sentence by writing some text before finish it, sometimes AOO
crash when I finish the sentence, sometimes not.
The same sentence in Calc does not crash AOO.
* The documents are recovered in the state they were before the crash if they
are ".odt"
* The previous saved version documents are recovered if they are
".doc"(97/2000/xp)
The crash :
The crashing process is actived by writing one new text's character (or other
operation) + the particular sentence. But more then one character can be added
before the end of the process (just write your text quicklier). Therefore, the
crash seems have a time constant activation.
The sentence:
"Je pataugeai dans une marre tiédie par le soleil."
Steps to reproduce:
1) In Writer, selection the language "Français (Belgique)" or
"Français(France)";
2) Write a text or not;
3) Write the sentence "Je pataugeai dans une marre tiédie par le soleil." or
with some grammar faults "Je pataugeai' daus une marre tiédie par le soleil."
NB : "marre tiédie" seems to be the center of the problem, maybe "marre " on
her own...
Actual Results:
It deos not crash before having finsihed to write "marre", and crash randomly
afterwards keep writing the sentence.
Additional information : After analize, there is no virus on the documents.

I was unable to replicate this bug on 10/6/2015.
System environment:
Apache OpenOffice Writer 4.0.1 - AOO401m5, Build: 9714, R1524958
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium - SP 1 (64bit)
CPU: AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core Processor
For my first test, I attempted to replicate the reported issues that occurred
when typing the French sentence in the provided document (directly, with
grammatical mistakes, and with varying typing speeds).
Test #1:
* 1. Open file "Aube & crépuscule.odt" provided by the original report.
* 2. Change selection language to French in the Language settings.
* 3. Make a newline after the last sentence on the page.
* 4. Type "Je pataugeai dans une marre tiédie par le soleil."
* 5. Repeat with slight variations and with different typing speeds thrice.
No change in program state was observed.
I am attaching the file I worked with, named "T1 - Replicated steps."
For my second test, I attempted to replicate the reported issues that occurred
when deleting other lines in the document after the French sentence had been
typed, as well as the issue reported when writing text before the troublesome
sentence.
Test #2:
* 1. Open file "Aube & crépuscule.odt" provided by the original report.
* 2. Verify that selection language is still set to French.
* 3. Delete every other line above the "Je pataugeai' dans une marre tiédie
par" line.
* 4. Write "Pre-sentence-test" before the line mentioned in step 3.
No change in program state was observed.
I am attaching the file I worked with, named "T2 - Deletions & cut."
For my third test, I attempted to replicate the reported issues that occurred
when copying and pasting the sentence on another Writer document and writing
additional characters.
Test #3:
* 1. Start OpenOffice Writer on a new document ('Untitled 1').
* 2. Paste the troublesome French sentence.
* 3. Type 'a' after it and wait 10 seconds.
* 4. Type 'a' again after the first 'a' and wait another 10 seconds.
* 5. Make a new line and type 'b' and 'c' separated by spaces.
* 6. Make another new line and type out the full sentence instead of pasting
it.
No change in program state was observed.
I am attaching the file I worked with, named "T3 - New document."
This reported bug seems unique.
The original report mentions that the problem might lie with the word "marre"
on its own. While typing that word and immediately after typing the first
letter 'r', Writer provided a word completion suggestion for the word "mardi."
This did not occur in any other part of the sentence. I'm attaching a
screenshot of this. This could possibly be part of the issue if the original
reporter also saw a word completion suggestion while typing "marre" and
experienced a crash afterwards. After some followup trials with and without
Auto-Correction and completion on, I was still unable to replicate the
crashing.

I was not able to reproduce this crash with latest build 4.1.2 and Win7 x64
Pro.

Grammar checker is not currently installed by default.
So, this problem seems to be linked to an extension.
