[jira] [Created] (LEGAL-291) bison output / bison dependency in
httpd
Eric Covener created LEGAL-291:
----------------------------------
Summary: bison output / bison dependency in httpd
Key: LEGAL-291
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-291
Project: Legal Discuss
Issue Type: Question
Reporter: Eric Covener
The httpd source distribution contains a parser generated by GNU bison. We currently distribute the generated parser as opposed to depending on GNU bison to generate it at build time.
It is not really optional in any meaningful way.
It seems like its terms technically limit what you can do with something based on httpd. We don't currently list anything about this issue in NOTICE/LICENSE.
https://github.com/apache/httpd/blob/fbc5e20ead005fd3a2bec05924f9e90dfd195406/server/util_expr_parse.h
Is there any way to keep this generated code?
