Tomcat4+Apache Web server question?

How to make the connection between Tomcat4 and
Apache web server
when I uncomment the Ajp13 connector in server.xml
I get

Catalina.start: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
org.apache.ajp.tomcat4.Ajp13Connector
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
org.apache.ajp.tomcat4.Ajp13Connector

Indeed I do not need Tomcat as a standalone server I
just need it to serve the invoked jsps and serlvets 
from Apache WEb server.

How to configure Tomcat to do that, and what to use
as a connector between Apache Web server and Tomcat.
