[jira] [Commented] (LEGAL-210) Licensing trademark usage *to* the ASF?

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-210?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14200735#comment-14200735 ]

Grant Ingersoll commented on LEGAL-210:
---------------------------------------

FWIW, as one of the committers on Lucene/Solr who has been working on the site, the page/usage in question is currently prototyped at http://lucene.lukesh.com/solr/ and is not live on lucene.apache.org

Note, our intent as a project is to display logos of companies that have publicly stated that they use Solr based off of either them explicitly saying so on our powered by page or by speaking in public forums such as conferences, meetups, etc.

We are also fine with removing the logo if we can't work this out (and will do so until this is worked out)

> We (Bloomberg LP) have received a request from the Lucene/Solr project to include our company logo on their about-to-be-launched website (indicating that we are a significant contributor and user of this project). We have no objections to our logo being used for this purpose, but we require a signed trademark license agreement for such usage.
> We'd like to find out if there's a way that the ASF could work with us to execute this agreement so that the website publication can proceed with our logo included. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
