--encrypt-password returning different values

I had to change my password to log into our maven repo so I was
updating the password using --encrypt-password but it's returning a
different value each time I run the command for the same new password,
what's going on here?

You were right...my problem was with our domain controller locking me
out of Nexus...IT is working on it.

Not 100% certain about that BTW.... but that was my recollection of
when I read the code/docs

Okay, I didn't know that...what it generates isn't letting me connect
to Nexus for some reason...thought that was it but I'll have to look
elsewhere for the culprit.

IIRC that is by design... IOW there is a random redundancy added to the password
