[jira] [Commented] (PDFBOX-4533) Command-line tools should have an output directory method

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PDFBOX-4533?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16832392#comment-16832392 ]

Tilman Hausherr commented on PDFBOX-4533:
-----------------------------------------

What prevents you from just going into the target directory and call the tool there? And what other command line tools are also meant? (Some allow a target file / prefix)

> Command-line tools should have an output directory method

>                 Key: PDFBOX-4533
>                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PDFBOX-4533
>             Project: PDFBox
>          Issue Type: Improvement

>            Priority: Minor
>
> Example for PDFToImage but other command are involved
> If I run this command-line:
> {{c:\temp> java -jar c:\pdfbox\pdfbox-app-2.1.5.jar PDFToImage -outputPrefix x d:\test\foo.pdf}}
> Images are created in c:\temp instead of input pdf directory d:\test.
> Is it possible to have an option like *-outputDir* to specify where create images?
> Thanks
