[jira] [Commented] (SOLR-13498) Please delete old releases from mirroring system

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-13498?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16850138#comment-16850138 ]

Jan Høydahl commented on SOLR-13498:
------------------------------------

We now have these releases in the mirrors: 5.5.5, 6.6.6, 7.7.1, 8.0.0, 8.1.0, 8.1.1.

I believe we should keep 8.1.1 and 7.7.1 and remove the others.

As long as we keep releasing 7.x bugfix releases (until 9.0 is released), they should also be mirrored, not? Opinions?

> To reduce the load on the ASF mirrors, projects are required to delete old releases [1]
> Please can you remove all non-current releases?
> i.e. all but 8.1.1
> It's unfair to expect the 3rd party mirrors to carry old releases.
> However you can still link to the archives for historic releases.
> Please also update your release procedures (if relevant)
> Thanks!
