[jira] [Created] (HBASE-16273) Display ServerLoad sizes in appropriate units

Lars Francke created HBASE-16273:
------------------------------------

Summary: Display ServerLoad sizes in appropriate units
                 Key: HBASE-16273
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-16273
             Project: HBase
          Issue Type: Improvement
            Reporter: Lars Francke
            Priority: Trivial

Currently store file size is reported in MB and index & bloom filter in kb.

There are two problems here.

1) They are calculated from bytes by dividing by 1024 / 1024 and then converted to an int. So for small regions it always reports 0.

2) And this conversion is done per store so even if there are multiple stores and all of them combined would be larger than 1 MB it'd be reported as 0

I'd suggest to count them in bytes and then when displaying them on the RegionServer UI page decide on an appropriate unit to use.
