Thanks a lot Ashok,

You need to refer to the DTD and the Schema separately.
Build your document as if you were using a DTD alone.
Then add the Schema namespace declaration and the
schemaLocation hint in the instance document say on the
root element.
All the best, Ashok

Subject: Can I refer a Schema from within a DTD ??
Hi,
I am using a Xerces 1.2.3 parser.
My question is whether I can refer a schema from within a DTD ...can I use
the
schema as an internal or as an external entity with in DTD ??
thanks
AA
