Actually there is an option to auto open sharing: {{auto.open.sharing}} in Admin->Config
(https://openmeetings.apache.org/GeneralConfiguration.html)

The size of notification is currently limited by the height of menu bar
I have no imagination :)))
Maybe you can attach your vision of such notification (as picture)
And start discussion on user list?

(just an idea: self-destructive Alert in bottom right corner can be displayed ....)
