Sun studio 11

I'm trying to set up a VCS system for some of my work team's projects.
For most of the programming projects we do, we use NetBeans and Sun
Studio 11. We already tried out using NetBeans with subversion, and
really like the ability to use subversion right from the NetBeans menus.
(using the subversion module update with NetBeans 5.5 beta). I've looked
around though and can't find anything that says for sure if Sun Studio
11
can also use subversion like NetBeans does, or if it only works that way
with CVS.

Does anyone know if there is a way to modify Sun Studio in order to use
Subversion like that, or would we be stuck having to either use regular
CVS or some other third party program to keep track of our projects?
