[jira] Created: (FOR-708) generated pdf documents are empty

generated pdf documents are empty
---------------------------------

         Key: FOR-708
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FOR-708
     Project: Forrest
        Type: Bug
    Versions: 0.8-dev
    Reporter: David Crossley
     Fix For: 0.8-dev

Recently the generated PDF documents are empty. This is probably related to the recent changes to use the locationmap and renaming of stylesheets and jiggling of the sitemaps. There are no errors reported durring the build, but i have not yet looked at WEB-INF/logs/error.log etc.

I started looking at this the other day. I thought it was a problem with the Daisy plugin only, but clearly it is not.

Requesting foo.fo will return the XSL-FO document correctly so the problem is with the last stage of processing, i.e. with the PDF generation from the XSL-FO.

I've not had time to look at this further yet.

Ross Gardler commented on FOR-708:

Correction, the XSL-FO is not being generated correctly, I must have dreamt that last night.

The problem is that the stylesheets have been renamed to document-to-fo.xsl (for example), but the imports have not been changed in skin styleseets, for example:

/forrest/trunk/main/webapp/skins/pelt/xslt/fo/document-to-fo.xsl

still has:

<xsl:import href="../../../common/xslt/fo/document2fo.xsl"/>

This should now be changed to:

<xsl:import href="../../../common/xslt/fo/document-to-fo.xsl"/>
