   ### Minimal reproduce step
   
   tar -xf apache-pulsar-3.1.2-bin.tar.gz
   
   
   ### What did you expect to see?
   
   files and an exit code of 0
   
   ### What did you see instead?
   
   gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
   tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
   tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
   tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
   
   ### Anything else?
   
   I tried this on an older release 3.0.2 and everything worked just fine.
