This vote is canceled, after discussion with Louis. It is clear that we 
as a community can't have consensus on this matter, and computing the 
tally would be useless.

I'll take one or two days to explore other options before coming back 
here with proposals.

Andrea, Can I suggest that such explorations be public, on this list? I think the less we use private communications, of whatever sort, the better we become at including the community. (More precisely: At forming a community.)
