XOM

I see that XOM is excluded in the POM for Aegis. Could I please
un-exclude it and use it in a test?

I don't think so, because we're all pretty cheap and I don't think there
would be much money in the hat when we're done. (Also, I suspect we
would get a lot of Chinese coins which would not be very useful for the
author.)

Yea, I saw that too. Maybe if we all passed a hat we could buy an ASF
license?

It is apparently for sale[1] for non-LGPL use, similar to the way MySQL
is for sale for non-GPL use. That's probably why no ASL compatible
license is being offered.

What a pity. It's a superior comestible indeed. Religious zealotry is a
sad thing. Maybe we should start making jdom fixes ourselves, because
nobody else is apparently going to.

Unfortunatley, no. Its LGPL which isn't allowed here at Apache.

I've sent several emails to the author of XOM (Elliotte) trying to
convince him to make it CDDL or something similar, but he doesn't seem
to really care that Apache projects can't use it. Feel free to send
another email along though :-)
