Well, this looks more like a users@ question, but what can you tell us
about the backend you're using? FSFS? BDB? Which Subversion version
does your server use? (You mention 3 versions, but don't tell which
one runs on the server.)

You probably run into a BDB lock accumulation problem, but: do you
have any other processses accessing your repository directly? ViewCVS
maybe?

Currently, we are using 1.2.3 on the server. Before, we had 1.1.x and the
same problem was there, too. I did not report it until now, because we
always were behind some versions and I thought, this may already be fixed in
the next version. But now, we are up to date. ;-)

Clients are running 1.1.x or 1.2.x.
