Session time out value (?)

With a simple JSP app the sessions time out within a few minutes. I have the
default setting set in the XML file to
defaultSessionTimeOut="30"
Changing this to any value, ie defaultSessionTimeOut="3000" has no effect.

What am I missing?

Any ideas?

Thanks,
