With the default setting for scrollbars on a Mac the scrollbar shines through the dashboard in a collapsed state on Chrome.

There was a hack in 99665a15ac3a1e56259eb7445b9b2e505ac361fc which had to get reverted, as it caused the sidebar not to scroll if the window was too small:
