    Resolution: Not A Problem

It is correct that there are 17000+ words less in that translation. The DB has been checked and do not have any errors.

What I can see though is massive changes, which makes me assume files was uploaded (though UI, or on command line). When you upload files that are not complete (strings were removed), this will normally be the cause.

Whoever have a full set of po files, should upload those.
