Subversion and perl hooks

I've just downloaded subversion to use for our development team.

What i wanted was a post-commit hook that copies the files that were just
checked in to the server of my choice maintaining the tree structure.

Basically we are a web development company and when someone checks in a file
we'd like it copied to the dev web server immediately.

Can someone point me in the right direction to accomplish this.

Also is there a place where i can get some good documentation on writing
hooks.
