(was: This is a pretty annoying issue, but mostly it's annoying because it fails to modify binary plists silently. Can you please at least log an error when a plist can't be modified?
If you encounter this problem, you can convert your plist to XML format like this:
{{plutil -convert xml1 Info.plis}}
This utility is available on Mac OS X 10.2+)
