Integrating search into publication

Hello everyone,

I've been struggling to get searching built into a publication, rather
than going through the Lenya CMS Screen (style-cms-page). Basically, I
want to use my main page2xhtml.xsl stylesheet that defines the layout
for the rest of my application as a template for the searching instead
of the searching being the default CMS Screen. I want my layout,
navigation, breadcrumb, etc to all be aggregated together with the
search screen.

My attempts at getting this to work through lenya/lucene.xmap have
failed utterly (after so many frustrating hours). No matter what I do,
I can't get any content to show up after applying the page2xhtml.xsl
stylesheet. I always be a blank area where the content should be
aggregated via <cmsbody>. I know the content is there because if I
comment out the transformation, all the correct content is surrounded by
a <cmsbody> tag as it was aggregated.

I am wonder if I am going about this the right way. Should I be
integrating the search directly into my main sitemap, bypassing the
global sitemap that catches */search-*/lucene? Can anyone provide me
with some direction?

Thanks much,

Ethan

Got it! Forgot to apply the transformation in xslt/xhtml2xhtml.xsl.
Now it works great.

Thank you for the response. I have a sinking suspicion you are correct
about the namespaces. Do you have any tips for troubleshooting problems
like these?

Thanks,
Ethan

do you use any namespaces? Also note that default namespaces can be very

confusing sometimes.

have you taken a look at the OSCOM publication?

src/webapp/lenya/pubs/oscom/lenya/lucene.xmap

btw, I am currently updating the libraries within

src/webapp/lenya/bin/crawl_and_index.xml/sh

because of Cocoon-2.1.4

I also make the analyser configurable, such that one can
decide on StandardAnalyzer, GermanAnalyzer or RussionAnalyzer ...
