well actually spark inherits aws s3 access from hadoop see https://hadoop.apache.org/docs/r2.8.0/hadoop-aws/tools/hadoop-aws/index.html#Changing_Authentication_Providers. there is multiple way to get access:
- simple access key / secret `SimpleAWSCredentialsProvider`
- temporary token `org.apache.hadoop.fs.s3a.TemporaryAWSCredentialsProvider`
you can also provide vendor credential providers such `com.amazonaws.auth.WebIdentityTokenCredentialsProvider` https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSJavaSDK/latest/javadoc/com/amazonaws/auth/WebIdentityTokenCredentialsProvider.html
when spark deal with the fs it then handle the s3 access with hadoop code
