Build on Solaris 10 with BerkeleyDB.4.7

I am trying to build on a Solaris 10 box with BerkeleyDB.4.7  installed in 

/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.7

I have tried many combinations of the --with-berkeley-db  option but cannot satisfy the configure script . I have made links in /usr/local to no avail . Given the db install location what exactly would be the correct syntax of this option ?
