   As stated previously, and as the [docs](http://arrow.apache.org/docs/r/articles/install.html#contributing) implore, we are more than happy to add additional Docker images to our CI matrix. Feel free to open a PR; for reference, https://github.com/apache/arrow/blob/master/dev/tasks/tasks.yml#L1631-L1638 was what was added to test on `rocker/r-base` at your earlier suggestion.
