Incubator PMC/Board report for Apr 2015 ([ppmc])
Dear podling,
This email was sent by an automated system on behalf of the Apache Incubator PMC.
It is an initial reminder to give you plenty of time to prepare your quarterly
board report.
The board meeting is scheduled for Wed, 15 April 2015, 10:30 am PST. The report
for your podling will form a part of the Incubator PMC report. The Incubator PMC
requires your report to be submitted 2 weeks before the board meeting, to allow
sufficient time for review and submission (Wed, Apr 1st).
Please submit your report with sufficient time to allow the incubator PMC, and
subsequently board members to review and digest. Again, the very latest you
should submit your report is 2 weeks prior to the board meeting.
Thanks,
The Apache Incubator PMC
Submitting your Report
----------------------
Your report should contain the following:
* Your project name
* A brief description of your project, which assumes no knowledge of the project
or necessarily of its field
* A list of the three most important issues to address in the move towards
graduation.
* Any issues that the Incubator PMC or ASF Board might wish/need to be aware of
* How has the community developed since the last report
* How has the project developed since the last report.
This should be appended to the Incubator Wiki page at:
http://wiki.apache.org/incubator/April2015
Note: This is manually populated. You may need to wait a little before this page
is created from a template.
Mentors
-------
Mentors should review reports for their project(s) and sign them off on the
Incubator wiki page. Signing off reports shows that you are following the
project - projects that are not signed may raise alarms for the Incubator PMC.

Emmanuel,
We have been dealing with the legal side, most of that is taken care of.
In addition, work has been done to get the code in place for integrating
into the Apache code base. Our meetings were still happening via the
openaz mailing list etc., we should definitely move all our communication
etc. onto the Apache list(s) going forward.
The code is ready for upload, I will make sure that gets done within the
next couple of days. In addition, I¹ll get any reports needed to be done
today asap.
Sorry for the slow start, but we do have interested parties wanting the
code via apache so we¹ll kick it into gear.

So what should we do, guys ?
Since the project has been accepted in incubation three months ago,
absolutely nothing have been done.
As a mentor, I feel like it's a really bad signal. Obviously, I can
understand that some legal aspect might be sorted out before any code
can be injected into the repository, but that none of the people having
proposed the project for incubation has even replied to the first report
notification, not to mention this one, is certainlt problematic.
Guys, it's TIME to actually *do* something. The ASF is not a place where
ine can dump some dead code expecting someone lese will take up teh
world. And it's not up to us, mentors, to do that !
Emmanuel.
