[jira] [Commented] (OFBIZ-7958) gradle and postgresql

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OFBIZ-7958?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15424666#comment-15424666 ]

Pierre Smits commented on OFBIZ-7958:
-------------------------------------

The reason this is happening is because you're missing the appropriate driver. We had a convenience function available in the OFBiz build process that would put an appropriate driver in the correct folder.

Unfortunately, this kind of convenience was decided against by some with power. As Jacques stated elsewhere: 'As long as you don't allow diversity you preclude yourself future!'

> I configured my ofbiz to use postgresql
> When I ran "$ gradlew ofbiz", ofbiz shows the following exception ...
> 2016-08-17 10:00:43,067 |OFBiz-JobPoller |DBCPConnectionFactory |E| null
> java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.postgresql.Driver
> I searched the gradle cache and found that postgresql driver was present at the time.
> The same issue occurs when i use "$ tools/startofbiz.sh"
