server port at the command line

while distributing a tomcat+application to people who
want to run tomcat on a port different than the
default, it would be more easy if we can supply the
port at the command line, like
bin/startup.bat 9002
than change the port in the server.xml

Also, I would like to supply some parameters to my
web-application from the command line to tomcat, is it
possible?

Thank you

~rf

I thought there are some technical issues why you guys
have not already implemented these...
