OFBiz End User Docs Home

Is there anything of value here or should we just delete the space and
remove any references to it.

https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBENDUSER/OFBiz+End+User+Docs+Home

It appears that it has not be touched since 2006 (8 years ago) and it is
of no use at all to new end users in its current form.
It hurts the image of the project to have it linked from the front page
of the documentation as our"User Documentation".

This certainly needs to be revisited but I'd surely not drop it like that!

The plan makes sense but I would suggest to set the acceptance bar rather high in step #1: we should only keep documentation that has proven to be useful, used and maintained. When we are in doubt we could get an export and save it in a zipped archive somewhere and then remove the pages. If we keep a lot of information that is half baked it will be difficult for people like Sharan and Ron to maintain it and assure a good level of quality.
And I would add another step:
f) move the (survived) pages to the Wiki and then drop this Confluence space; the project really doesn't need all these spaces anymore

Can we clean up that space by:
a) removing the stuff that is no good - does anyone feel comfortable in
making that determination.
b) organize the remaining content so that it is easy to navigate
c) fix the text so that it is clearer about what information can be
counted on by the new user (remove speculative ideas and proposed changes)
d) add pages that have information that is of interest to users -
training resources, case studies, system integrators supporting OFBiz,
etc. that is presented in a way that non-developers (System
Administrators, Accountants, CFOs, CEO, Business Analysts, etc. ) can
read to get useful information.
e) add graphics and explanatory texts that makes the documentation
attractive to users.

And then keep it up to date.

We could start by removing the links to it from the OFBiz website: if (ever) the content will be validated we will re-add them.
