I assume you're not just reporting "my local DNS service isn't running"?

If you start your local DNS service, do you continue to see problems with SA
DNS queries?

Is this a fresh SA install and it's never worked?

If it was working before, have you upgraded Net::DNS recently? 

In either case, what version of Net::DNS is installed? There were some issues
with it a couple of releases a while back. Search the Users list archives for
Net::DNS for the last six months and you should find the discussion with
mention of the problematic version numbers.
