Object mapping..

Dear All,

Can any one please tell me why we require object mapping with database in  model of MVC architecutre.
my doubt is, we can communicate with database by directly our bean..why we have to use  object mapping with OJB(Object Relational mapping) or whatever..i just want to know what is advantages by using object mapping over normal method..
