POI, Cell comments

I'd like to be able to do the following:

1) add a comment to a cell
2) read comments from a cell

I found an enhancement request in Bugzilla:

   http://issues.eu.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=10215

Has anybody started implementing this feature?
