   Not sure why server.type vs. server.cachegroup.type validation was never introduced/enforced. Maybe because of a scenario like this:
   
   1. Create server of type EDGE that must be in cachegroup of type EDGE_LOC
   2. Try to change the server to type MID - can't be done.
   
   So, it's possible this current behavior is "as designed". 
   
   Edit: Actually, I guess you could do this just fine. you'd just have to change the servers type and cachegroup at the same time. But honestly, i'm not sure what kind of problems could be introduced by enforcing this.
