[jira] Created: (HADOOP-5803) Allow native libraries to be placed anywhere

Allow native libraries to be placed anywhere
--------------------------------------------

                 Key: HADOOP-5803
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-5803
             Project: Hadoop Core
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: conf
            Reporter: Jonathan Stafford
            Priority: Minor

Currently, Hadoop only includes native libraries from the build/native and lib/native directories. I would like to be able to include them from arbitrary directories (such as /usr/lib, /usr/lib64, etc.) as RPMs on which I depend may place them anywhere.
