   I forgot to mention that adding a separate extension for okhttp only makes sense if there is something special to do for the native mode. Quarkus Vault and Kubernetes client extensions seem to suggest that nothing special is needed for okhttp to work in the native mode. 
   Hence if porting of the extensions listed in the first comment will work without doing anything  for okhttp, this issue can be closed.
