StoreJanitorImpl in scratchpad

Does anyone know the status of the StoreJanitorImpl in the scratchpad?

Is it obsolete or is it better than the version in excalibur store?

OTOMH, I think Vadim was going to look into syncing them as some felt 
the scratchpad version better in areas. [20 words ;)]
