I bumped into this one tonight.
I have a generic war component used in multiple projects. The various projects
need to replace its deployment descriptor when they consume it, but the
replacement is skipped whenever the core project changes the default deployment
descriptor.
I have to imagine that this is a pretty common usage for large J2EE projects.
(unzip, copy, zip) or (copy, touch, zip) are viable workarounds, but add
needless complexity.
