A 0.1-incubating release candidate has been created, with the
following artifacts up for a vote:

Right. However, there was at least one critical fix in trunk that hasn't
been merged over. Plus at the moment trunk builds, works, and passes all
tests. Since its our first release, might as well release the best we have.

For me everything is ok but I noted the release comes from the trunk on
which I already applied 0.2 patches.

Me neither, but IMO 72 hours is way too little time for our FIRST
release.

You can go to the incubator PMC to get binding votes if necessary.
I'm sorry that I've not found the time to evaluate this release candidate.

We are at a week in Lenya, but people have complained that it was too
slow. Looking at some of the newer projects they are at 72 hours for
voting periods, which is why I went with it.
Since there are no objections to the release artifacts themselves at
this time, and since the only change to SVN has been me adding my key, I
will call a week long vote this afternoon US time (around 20:00 GMT)
using the same release artifacts. If anyone has a problem with that,
please let me know.

Hmm, sorry I just saw it was 72 hours.
I remember that normally it is a whole week. I wanted to test this
weekend and then vote. Javier planed the same so that will bring votes.
So let us please extend the voting period to allow people to have a deep
look before the vote. Keep in mind there is as well the point mentioned
by Bertil (we released from trunk) and the point mentioned by yourself
(it is our first release).
