John,
10.1.1.0 is the only version in the Maven repo...could you ping the Derby folks
to see if they can push out their new version? Also, would it be possible for
you to help with testing?

It would also be great to get a new cut of commons-fileupload. The
current version hangs on me semi-regularly when uploading to portlets
using Safari and both client and server on OS X. I have no idea if
HEAD is any better, but it's worth a try. The catch is, both the
version we're using now and the current latest are unrelased, so I
think we'd have to take one of their nightlies or something and put it
in the repo ourselves. Unfortunately, I don't think I have time to do
this myself. :)
Thanks,
Aaron

I am fairly sure 1.6.5 is fine.

Jeff,
Dop you happen to know the release number for Ant in Tomcat? I built with 1.6.5
and it worked fine. At least nothing blew its brains out ;-P

Remove it and rebuild...and you will see ;-)

If this was ever needed by tomcat it probably was for jasper to run its
compiler: we're using the eclipse compiler for this now. I think a
more likely explanation is for Gianny's DDL script generator for CMP
entity beans, which is an ant task.

Do you happen to know what they're using it for? Somehow, I can't find
the place for it in Tomcat. I always regarded Ant as a build tool.

IIRC this is only used by tomcat and we need to use whatever version
they are using.
