Log4j Nagios appender is available in Pentaho maven repository.  This version of Nagios appender has more up-to-date support for Nagios than the copy supplied by Chukwa.  It is best to update Nagios support with https://github.com/viaboxxsystems/nagiosAppender version of Nagios Appender.
