[GitHub] [hop] hansva opened a new issue, #2334: [Bug]: If you define a connection using a database, and later delete the plugin, impossible remove the connection in the gui.

hansva opened a new issue, #2334:
URL: https://github.com/apache/hop/issues/2334

   ### Apache Hop version?

   2.3

   ### Java version?

   11

   ### Operating system

   Windows

   ### What happened?

   Migration: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HOP-4522

Recently I was creating a database dialect.  I had a connection defined using it.  I upgraded hop and omitted my dialect from the new copy.  When working with database inside Hop, even other ones, all the "Get Query" and "Explore" buttons throw exceptions.  I could not edit the database connection using the invalid metadata, it would throw an exception.

I would have expected to be able to edit a database connection with an invalid or missing database plugin or delete it.  I would not have expected one faulty connection to affect all the others in Hop.

   ### Issue Priority

   Priority: 1

   ### Issue Component

   Component: Metadata
