Old XmlSchema SNAPSHOT artifacts in M2 repo

I believe XmlSchema project are currently only publishing snapshots
to the M1 repo at
http://people.apache.org/repository/org.apache.ws.commons/jars/

However, there are some old SNAPSHOT artifacts in the M2 repo at
http://people.apache.org/repo/m2-snapshot-repository/org/apache/ws/
commons/XmlSchema/SNAPSHOT/

which are old enough the APIs are out of date. What is the preferred
way to reduce this confusion - should the old ones just be removed?

Thanks
