purpose of objectdata cols in TURBINE_GROUP, TURBINE_ROLE, etc

Do the objectdata columns in the tables turbine_group, turbine_role, and turbine_permission serve any purpose?  AFAICT nothing is ever written there except null.  Turbine_User has the same column, but it is used it seems.

A quick search through the code didn't turn up anything.
