[jira] [Commented] (MATH-598) Improving RandomDataTest

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MATH-598?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13420708#comment-13420708 ]

Gilles commented on MATH-598:
-----------------------------

Most of the methods are now relocated (adapted and renamed "sample") into the distribution classes (in package "o.a.c.m.distribution"), following issue MATH-823.
If this improvement is to be done, it should be implemented in the {{IntegerDistributionAbstractTest}} and {{RealDistributionAbstractTest}} test classes (see method {{testSampling}}).

> Using testUtils.getQuartiles and chi-square is probably "best of breed." We might think about something fun like adding other quantile splits or even randomly generating quantiles (subject to bin size constraints).
